Challenges and difficulties come in every person’s life. Life is like a road trip where you have to encounter speed bumps on the way. Will you stop your car and halt your journey? Or will you cross it at the same speed without caring about any damage to the car? Or will you sensibly adjust your speed while crossing it? The key to peaceful life is tactful dealing of the ups and downs in life. Things get tough, emotions do rise, anger does take over but if you are peaceful; you will accept these realities with openness.
I used to be an impatient person and would panic on unfavorable circumstances. It not only worsened the situation but left me restless too. I gave a deep thought as to how can I have inner peace and finally succeeded in finding the solution. I discovered very simple and easy things in routine life that enabled me to handle adverse situations with calmness. I would like to share the secrets of my peaceful life with you.
1. Be Yourself:
If you want to become someone you are not, you will never find inner peace. No matter how hard you try, you can never meet others’ expectations. You are an individual with your own identity. Walk your own path and be yourself.

2. Let go off Ego:

3. Avoid negative thoughts:
Do not evaluate things in a negative way. Thinking negatively will destroy your inner peace. Life is full of love and joys. Train your brain to remember the good in your life. Looking at the brighter side of the picture brings peace of mind.
4. Forget about the past:
There might have been bad experiences in the past that ache whenever you recall them. Forget about them because the past is gone. Thinking about past regrets will make you miss the special moments that are yet to come.
5. Help the needy:
Helping poor and needy people is a great source of finding inner peace. The smile that appears on the face of a needy person will make your soul contented.
6. Practice gratitude:
Be kind and show appreciation for kindness that others render you. Gratitude has a strong link with peacefulness. People who are more grateful tend to be happier, more satisfied and more positive.
Meditate for a few minutes daily to release stress. It calms the turbulence in your mind and helps develop inner peace.
8. Expect less:
Expecting too much is a way of destroying your peace. Instead of expecting and getting disappointed, it is better not to expect and get surprised.
9. Never do comparison:
Comparing your life with the life of others is the worst thing to destroy your happiness and peace. None of us is perfect. Be grateful for whatever you have in your life instead of looking at others and complaining.

10. Spend time with children:
Children are a great source of relieving your tensions. Their funny giggles over insane things, cute hugs, innocent jokes, lovely smiles, creative art and mischievous plays will do wonders for your soul.
11. Practice morning walk:
Early morning walk re-energizes the sluggish body. It decreases stress hormones and boosts up your mood. Fresh oxygen relaxes the mind and body.
12. Take healthy food:
Health is wealth. An unhealthy person finds it difficult to be happy. Eating healthy food at the right time will not only keep you in good physical shape but will also be helpful in giving peace unlike unhealthy food that slowly poisons your health and consequently your cheerfulness.
13. Play with the pets:
Keeping pets and spending time with them releases anxiety. Playing with your cat or enjoying a horse ride or taking your dog out for a walk are all helpful for releasing stress and achieving peace.
14. Enjoy the nature:
Spend some time in nature. If you live in an area where you can’t find natural scenery then plan a trip to a lush green place with people you feel comfortable with; whether it is your spouse, a family member or a friend. You will surely be at peace.
