If we look at the daily routines of some highly successful people, one thing seems to be common. They all wake up early in the morning. Being a night owl, I used to think whatever a person achieves in the morning; I can attain it in the night hours. What made me think opposite to my belief was this report by business insider. It sheds light on the routines of some successful people. Let’s see what they have to say about being an early bird;

AOL CEO Tim Armstrong says:
“I usually get up at 5 or 5:15am,” …”I am not a big sleeper and never have been. Life is too exciting to sleep.”
According to Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz :
“I get up at 4:30 every morning to walk my three dogs and work out.”
Hain Celestial Group CEO Irwin Simon shares his thoughts:
“I have always been an early riser. As you can see, I accomplish a lot in four hours and now feel pumped for the remainder of the day,”
I am bound to admit that there are certain benefits related to waking up early and here they are:
Time for Exercise
If you wish to have an energetic day full of passion and enthusiasm, then start it with some morning exercise. It is one of the best ways to remain strong the whole day long. Chances of getting stressed out reduce and calmness surrounds you. The best exercise can be in the form of a morning walk. It is a blessing. The rising sun, the cool breeze, lush green trees, beautiful flowers and the smell of fresh air makes you feel invincible. You gain a positive energy which helps you to be more productive and you tend to remain more focused for the rest of the day.
Time for Breakfast
Waking up late forces us to ignore one really important meal i.e. the breakfast. We need to realize that a healthy breakfast plays a vital role in improving our efficiency. By putting your feet earlier on the floor, you are going to have enough time for food.
Time for doing something exceptional and creative
As the day passes by, we get occupied with the worldly matters. Priorities related to job, education, family and friends start getting into our time. We seldom get quiet time to do something for ourselves. As night falls upon, our willpower starts to crash and we wait for the next day to come where we can have a little time for ourselves. The sad thing is that this time never comes. Next day, the same circle starts…waking up late, rushing to job, getting busy with work and so on. However, by rising earlier, you can find enough time to do something exceptional and creative. It is the time to meditate, or to write something, to read some poetry or to do whatever you love.
Time for a happy drive
Getting stuck into the traffic jams is quite frustrating. When you opt to wake up earlier, it directly helps you to avoid traffic congestions on the roads.
Time to get children ready without hassle
This one goes for the mothers. Getting kids ready for school always seems to be a struggle. Sometimes it becomes the most stressful time of the day. However, if you get over your sleep and wake up early in the morning, you will get enough time to beat the morning rush. This way you will be able to avoid time pressure and fulfill the challenging loads.
These are just a few things that I have noticed ever since I started working on my new habit. Have you ever witnessed any change in your life by waking up earlier? If so, please share with us. Even if you think waking up late is also something beneficial, do comment. Have a happy day!
